Today's Quotes - Shoot

It is unclear exactly what went down on October 26, 1881 at
Tombstone, Arizona, but history calls it the "Shootout at the
OK Corral". We do know that Wyatt Earp walked away, and five
of the Clanton Gang didn't. There don't seem to be a lot of
quotes on shootouts, exactly, but here are several on shooting.

Today's Quotes:

Serious sport has nothing to do with fair play. It is bound
up with hatred, jealousy, boastfulness, disregard of all
rules, and sadistic pleasure in witnessing violence: in other
words it is war minus the shooting.
     - George Orwell, 1903 - 1950

I started shooting when I was much too far away. That was
merely a trick of mine. I did not mean so much as to hit him
as to frighten him, and I succeeded in catching him. He began
flying curves and this enabled me to draw near.
     - Manfred von Richthofen, 1892 - 1918

The supreme irony of business management is that it is far
easier for an inadequate CEO to keep his job than it is for
an inadequate subordinate.... At too many companies, the boss
shoots the arrow of managerial performance and then hastily
paints the bullseye around the spot where it lands.
     - Warren Buffett

I want to see you shoot the way you shout.
     - Theodore Roosevelt, 1858 - 1919

You never know how people are going to wind up. I'm using
my degrees in political science, electrical engineering,
computer science, and psychology to teach gunfighting.
     - Linden B. Sisk
